Can you replicate a cheaper, mass-produced dress for less?
No. We do not provide replication services for high-volume or fast-fashion garments, nor do we match retail pricing. Mass-produced gowns (typically under £500) are manufactured in factories using automated assembly lines, bulk synthetic fabrics, and low-cost overseas labour.
As a custom dressmaker, Bluebell Design operates on an entirely different scale:
- True Bespoke Craftsmanship: Every gown is a unique work of art, patterned and cut specifically to your measurements.
- Luxury Finish: We use premium, high-quality textiles and couture-level finishing techniques.
- Hours of Skilled Labour: A single custom gown requires dozens to hundreds of hours of precise, dedicated handcrafting.
Because of this intensive, artisanal process, our custom commissions begin at £2,000 upwards. If you have found a factory-made dress within a lower price tier, we highly recommend purchasing it directly from that retailer, as custom craftsmanship cannot scale downward to compete with industrial production costs.
