Class Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Payments

· Full payment is required at the time of booking. This applies to all classes and workshops.

· By making a payment, you agree to all Terms and Conditions

2. Cancellations and Refunds.

We understand that life happens, but as a small studio with limited spaces in each class, we must stick to the following:

Student Cancellations: You may cancel your class space via our booking portal, up to 7 days before class (or up to 7 days before the first date within a block). You will receive a 90% refund if you meet this cutoff (10% administration fee will be taken).

Cancellations by Bluebell Design: If we cancel due to low enrollment, tutor illness or access issues due to weather and road conditions, you will receive a 100% refund.

3. Health and Safety:

Assumption of Risk: Crafting involves sharp tools (scissors, rotary cutters, pins) and hot equipment (irons, glue guns). By attending, you acknowledge these inherent risks.

Your Equipment: When bringing your own sewing machine, it must be in good working order. It is up to you to ensure all equipment is safe to use.

Conduct: We maintain a respectful, creative environment. Any student engaging in disorderly or offensive behaviour will be asked to leave without a refund.

4. Intellectual Property

·  All patterns, handouts, and instructional materials provided are the intellectual property of Bluebell Design. These are for your personal use only and may not be copied, resold, or used to teach your own classes.

· Materials will be supplied for certain classes (this will be clearly stated in the class information). Out-with these specific situations, students must purchase and bring all their own materials, haberdashery, tools and equipment, including pencils and paper.

5. Photography and social media

· We love sharing your progress on our Facebook. We may take photos or videos for our website or social media, but will not show faces or enable easy identification.

6. Illness and Attendance Policy

· Contagious illness: to protect the health of all participants, students should NOT ATTEND class if they have any symptoms of a contagious illness. This includes, but is not limited to: colds with significant nasal discharge or cough; fever, vomiting or diarrhoea within the last 48 hours; symptoms of infections diseases (eg covid, flu, norovirus or conjunctivitis).

· Instructor discretion: the instructor reserves the right to ask a student to leave if they arrive visibly unwell. This is both for the safety of the group and for the individual concerned, as illness may affect the ability to use tools and equipment safely and lead to accidents.

· Notification: if you are unable to attend due to illness, please notify the instructor via text, call or WhatsApp, if possible at least 48 hours prior to class.

7. Missed Classes

Monthly Pass ticket holders:

Missed classes cannot be refunded or rolled over. As a small business, I must strike a balance between my classes and my professional work for private clients.

I cannot accommodate class members in my studio outside the fixed class schedule. If you miss a class unexpectedly, and there is free space in a different scheduled class within 14 days, you will be given the opportunity to join this other class to use up your time.

If you cannot use this opportunity within the stated timeframe or there are no free spaces available, then you forfeit the class.

Drop In or Individual class ticket holders:

Missed classes cannot be refunded or transferred. Cancellations are accepted up to 7 days before class, but if you miss this cutoff, then you forfeit the class.
