1. Booking and Payments
· Full payment is required at the time of booking. This applies to all classes and workshops.
· By making a payment, you agree to all Terms and Conditions
· If a class is fully booked, you can ask to join our Waiting List. If a spot becomes free, we will contact our waiting list in order of sign-up.
· Regular, weekly classes: these classes repeat on a fixed schedule (eg Tuesday morning sewing classes) so in general have a stable membership. Your place is guaranteed across all sessions until you opt out, provided you book your place each month when asked, and make full payment at that point. If you do not book and pay at time of request, this space will be made available to those currently on our waiting list.
· Spots in my weekly classes will be advertised on social media when space becomes available.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that life happens, but as a small studio with limited spaces in each class, we must stick to the following:
Student Cancellations:
For individual, stand-alone classes:
· 14+ Days Notice: Full refund, minus a 15% admin fee, or a free transfer to a future class date.
· 7–14 Days Notice: 50% refund or the option to send a friend in your place (please inform us).
· Less than 7 Days Notice: No refunds, but you may send a friend in your place (please inform us).
Multi-session classes and courses, including weekly repeating sessions:
· Missed Sessions: Unused class hours do not roll over to the next month. Any missed classes or remaining time at the end of the billing cycle will be forfeited without a refund. To accommodate missed sessions, we provide independent studio access for independent work. This independent access must be used within the current calendar month. It can be used before or after the scheduled class you miss.
· Cancellation prior to the class starting: conditions are the same as for the Individual classes.
Cancellations by Bluebell Design: If we cancel due to low enrollment or tutor illness or access issues due to weather and road conditions, you will receive a 100% refund or a transfer to the next class available (whichever you prefer).
3. Health and Safety
· Assumption of Risk: Crafting involves sharp tools (scissors, rotary cutters, pins) and hot equipment (irons, glue guns). By attending, you acknowledge these inherent risks.
· Your Equipment: When bringing your own sewing machine, it must be in good working order.
· Conduct: We maintain a respectful, creative environment. Any student engaging in disorderly or offensive behaviour will be asked to leave without a refund.
4. Intellectual Property
· All patterns, handouts, and instructional materials provided are the intellectual property of Bluebell Design. These are for your personal use only and may not be copied, resold, or used to teach your own classes.
· Materials will be supplied for certain classes (this will be clearly stated in the class information). Out-with these specific situations, students must purchase and bring all their own materials, haberdashery, tools and equipment, including pencils and paper.
· Some items may be available for purchase from Bluebell Design (such as elastic, pattern paper, toile fabric and sewing machine needles). However, availability is not guaranteed, so you are encouraged to think ahead and ensure you have everything you need. No materials or kit may be left at Bluebell Design between classes.
5. Photography and Media
· We love sharing your progress on our Facebook. We may take photos or videos for our website or social media, but will ask your permission first. Any photos showing your face or where you are identifiable will not be uploaded without your permission.
6. Illness and Attendance Policy
· Contagious illness: to protect the health of all participants, students should NOT ATTEND class if they have any symptoms of a contagious illness. This includes, but is not limited to: colds with significant nasal discharge or cough; fever, vomiting or diarrhoea within the last 48 hours; symptoms of infections diseases (eg covid, flu, norovirus or conjunctivitis).
· Instructor discretion: the instructor reserves the right to ask a student to leave if they arrive visibly unwell. This is both for the safety of the group and for the individual concerned, as illness may affect the ability to use tools and equipment safely and lead to accidents.
· Notification: if you are unable to attend due to illness, please notify the instructor via text, call or WhatsApp, if possible at least 24 hours prior to class.
· Missed classes: Unused class hours do not roll over to the next month. Any missed classes or remaining time at the end of the billing cycle will be forfeited without a refund. To accommodate missed sessions, we provide independent studio access for independent work. This independent access must be used within the current calendar month. It can be used before or after the scheduled class you miss.
