Ready to dress your windows with a professional flourish? Join me for a full day dedicated to learning how to make lined curtains.
What We’ll Cover:
- Master the “maths” of measuring windows and calculating fabric quantities. Don’t worry—I’ll provide a handy guide to take home so you don’t have to memorise the formulas!
- Learn how to handle pattern repeats so your curtains line up beautifully.
- Explore the differences between linings and interlinings, and discover when to use each for the perfect drape.
- Create a sample curtain while learning the essential steps of machine sewing and lining. This workshop gives you a practical blueprint to replicate for any window in your house.
This class is ideal if you are already comfortable using a sewing machine. No machine instruction is covered in this class.
What to bring with you:
- Your Sewing Kit: Including fabric scissors, pins, measuring tape and a full 250m minimum reel of all-purpose sewing thread in black and white.
- Your sewing machine: including all accessories, cables and a pack each of size 80 and 90 sewing machine needles. If you can’t bring your own machine, please let me know in advance – basic machines can be borrowed for the duration of the class, but I need to know in advance.
- Lunch: Please bring a packed lunch that doesn’t require refrigeration or reheating.
