Payments
All classes must be paid in full at time of booking. Your place on the course is not guaranteed until payment is made.
Refunds: 100% refunds are given for cancellations made by me. If you cancel for any reason, I refund 97%, retaining 3% to cover the fees I am charged by my payment provider. No refunds are given for non-attendance without cancelling, although an alternative date may be offered, if this is possible. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the class or workshop. No cash refunds.
Attending Classes
Classes begin on time as far as possible. Studio doors open 10 minutes before class to allow you to set up your station and grab a cuppa. At the end of the class, you will be asked to start to tidy up 10 minutes before the end, and I will ask you to leave promptly.
Tea (including some herbal), instant coffee and semi skimmed milk will be available. If you require anything like non-dairy milk or decaf coffee, please bring what you need. Biscuits are also provided, but again, if you require anything particular such as gluten-free, please bring what you personally need.
Parking is available right outside my studio. Please be aware of other traffic in the estate (lorries and forklifts especially) as you drive in and out, and park with consideration.
Forthview has disabled facilities, should they be needed. The studio is on the ground floor with just a shallow step up into the room.
Skill Levels Required
Please ensure you read the class description carefully as to the skill level required, prior to booking. Please call me if you’re unsure if the class is right for you, and we can discuss it properly before you book. No basic sewing instruction is offered in any class except beginners sessions, and any machines you bring to use should be in full working order.
Safety in Class
Please dress sensibly for class, avoiding things like frilly, overlong sleeves or dangling ribbons.
Hair should preferably be tied back if it is very long. Shoes must be worn at all times, as I cannot guarantee a pin-free carpet.
Some equipment is hazardous and you take personal responsibility for your own safety and the safety of those around you when in my studio.
You are asked to ensure dropped pins and needles are picked up immediately, and that shared equipment like irons and overlockers are properly switched off after use.
Damage to studio equipment will need to be paid for.
