Bluebell Design offers both custom dressmaking and clothing repairs and alterations.

I also make soft furnishing items such as cushion covers and roman blinds, although I do not offer curtain making.

Past projects outwith clothing items include lampshades, hand embroidered pillowcases for a wedding gift, bags, a silk mobile for a new baby’s nursery, memory quilts, cushion covers from scraps of Harris tweed.

I can repair, patch, adjust, re-fashion and otherwise reuse old garments.

I also run sewing based classes (garment and craft) from my studio – details of classes can be found on a separate page.

My work has been published in Take a Break Makes magazine, with tutorials and projects commissioned from me several times.

I make and sell textile items at local craft fairs and events, and online at my Folksy shop. I make bags, textile jewellery, scarves, fabric boxes and ornamental items, all from fabric and all using the fabric scraps my dressmaking business generates.
